Job and careers website Glassdoor holds a stack of information about jobs, companies, salaries, CEO approval ratings and so on, based largely on information shared by those in the know – the employees of the companies concerned.
They are also well placed to assess the world of careers more broadly. So, based on the information available to them, they’ve come up with their rating of the best jobs.
In drawing up their ratings, Glassdoor gives equal weight to three factors: earning potential (median annual base salary), career opportunities rating, and number of job openings. The top 20 results represent job titles that rate highly among all three categories.
The Glassdoor job score is based on a 5-point scale (5.0=best job, 1.0=bad job). For a job title to be considered, it must receive at least 30 salary reports and at least 30 career opportunities ratings shared by employees over the previous year.
